A breed can disappear
before its last animal is gone.
A family line ends. A farm closes. A skill goes untaught. Records are scattered, and the next generation cannot find what it needs. Preserving the whole story helps make those losses visible while there is still time to act.
The current inventory includes 189 entries across 11 livestock and poultry groups. Some entries are strains, varieties or grouped populations; this is a catalogue count, not an animal census.
